IfB-Library
The IfB library is a specialised library (OPL) with a focus on fisheries science (especially fisheries biology, fish ecology and fish farming/aquaculture); limnology; hydrobiology and water management. The partly antiquarian private library of Prof. Wilhelm Schäperclaus and partial bequests of Professors H. H. Wundsch and D. Scheer are also part of the library's holdings. As a member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Spezialbibliotheken (ASpB) and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Meereskundlichen Bibliotheken (AMB), the library has access to an extensive number of additional collections.
Our IfB specialist library is a reference library with regular opening hours, which is primarily available to IfB staff, but is in principle also accessible to interested external users.
Opening hours: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (the library is closed on Wednesdays and Fridays).
If you are interested in visiting our library, please make an appointment by telephone or email (see contact on the right).
Please also use the search function for the institute's own publications as well as those of our individual researchers.
